  • Popularity
  • Relationship
  • Content Type

LinkedIn is recognised as the leading social media platform for B2B engagement. Because of this, the algorithm prioritises posts with professionalism at its root. Strong and relevant content is prioritised on the timeline, no matter how old the post is. The algorithm is primarily based on engagement and connection.

TikTok has arguably the most accurate algorithm – it really is called a ‘For You’ page for a reason! However, it is also really tough to crack! Although it’s relatively new, it seems as though the algorithm prioritises:

  • User Interaction
  • Videos with hashtags and captions

Although it has a very different format and follower strategy to other social media platforms, Pinterest has an algorithm nonetheless. This algorithm’s ranking factors are:

  • Relevancy
  • Quality of both the pin and pinner
  • Domain Quality

As with many other social media platforms – and search as a whole, Twitter has started to focus more on the relevancy of content as opposed to the date and time something is posted.
